Tours by Tesla

A guided-tour app inside the Tesla OS. Pick a curated city tour, let FSD (Supervised) drive the route, and at every stop choose to park and explore on foot or continue to the next.

Concept video, 80 seconds. The vehicle interface shown is a mockup.

The concept

The city, curated by the car.

Map apps route you to one destination at a time. Visitors exploring a city don’t have a curated, multi-stop itinerary that blends driving with walking.

Tours by Tesla is an in-car app that turns big cities and popular destinations into ordered, guided tours. The car drives from stop to stop on FSD (Supervised), tells you the story of each place, and at every stop lets you decide: park and see it on foot, or keep rolling. Your place in the tour is saved either way.

How a tour works

Pick a tour. The car does the driving.

01

Choose a tour

Browse a catalog of tours for different cities and pick one. Each tour is an ordered list of stops with a name, a location and a short story. Tap Start Tour and FSD (Supervised) heads to the first stop.

02

Arrive, and get the story

As you reach each stop, the screen shows its history and context, with a “Stop X of N” progress indicator. Then two buttons:

03

Park and explore on foot

Choose parking and the car heads to a nearby spot, with options showing the estimated walk time to the stop. The tour pauses while you’re out. Or choose Continue and the car simply drives on to the next stop.

One tap to resume

When you get back, tap Resume Tour and the car picks up at the next stop. After the final stop, a tour-complete screen wraps it up.

Why it fits Tesla

Built for a car that drives itself.

FSD makes it possible

Tours are designed around FSD (Supervised): the car handles the route between stops, so there’s far less navigation input from the people inside.

Driving and walking, one itinerary

Park for a walking visit or keep driving. The tour remembers where you are either way, so nothing has to be re-planned.

Context at every stop

Each stop brings its own story to the screen, turning the drive itself into part of the experience.

A path to robotaxi

The same tours could run in vehicles operating without an onboard driver, like a robotaxi service, where permitted.

Scales city by city

A multi-city catalog, tours curated by third parties, and time-bound tours tied to live events.

Hands-free by voice

Picking a tour, hearing the narration and choosing park or continue could all happen by voice.
